KUMBHANDA,鸠盘荼


"A demon who has huge testicles (resembling a water-pot). He is believed to deprive people of their vitality and to be able to run as swiftly as the wind. He is part of the retinue of Virudhaka, the Four-Quarter King who rules the South. When depicted, he is shown with the body of a man and the head of a horse. He appears in the outermost square of the Garbhadhatu mandala (or Taizodai mandara, one of the two major mandalas of Esoteric Buddhism)."
