The five cakras 五轮 of the body are correlated with the Taoist theory of five viscera 五藏 （explained with the aid of illustrations）， and the nine-syllable mantra of Amita^bha， hri^h! a mr! ta te se ha ra hu^m!， corresponds to a man!d!ala of the eight great bodhisattvas surrounding Amita^bha.
