'Ordinary man and sage.' In the Hi^naya^na tradition， the 'first fruit' 初果 and above is considered as sage， in Maha^ya^na the first of the ten bhu^mis and above is considered as sage. The below this， deluded people， are called 'regular people' or 'worldlings.'
