The 'hindrances due to discrimination.' Hindrances of evil passions （fannaozhang 烦恼障） and the hindrances of what is known （souzhizhang 所知障） that arise from discriminatory thought. Since discrimination is the function of the sixth consciousness the hindrances of discrimination are hindrances that arise from that consciousness. They arise from following a deluded teacher， deluded teaching， or one's deluded thoughts.
