利根


(1) Literally "sharp faculties," which refers to people who possess an innate ability to readily apprehend profound religious truths and attain realization (Skt. ti^ks!na-indriya; Tib. dban% po rno ba). Also called 上根, 锐利 and 顿根. Sentient beings are generally categorized into three groups 三根 of sharp, middling, and dull.
