Purna Maitra^yaniputra， one of the ten principal disciples of S/a^kyamuni 十大弟子， famous for his eloquence in preaching the dharma. Full Chinese transliteration is 富楼那弥多罗尼子. His name means "son of Maitra^yani^， as his mother Maitra^yani^ was also one of S/a^kyamuni's early disciples. He appears as one of the interlocutors in the S/u^rangama-su^tra 首楞严经.
