The "future Buddha;" the aspect of the Sanjie 三阶 teaching of the "universal Buddha，" pufo 普佛; based on the ekaya^na 一乘 teaching of the Lotus Sutra 法华经 this denotes that all sentient beings will in the future attain the full awakening of the Buddha.
