摩尼珠


The first two ideographs in this word are a transliteration of the Sanskrit man!i. (1) A general term for jewels or gems. Also the "Man!i-jewel." It is said that jewels have the virtue of being able to drive away evil, clarify muddy water. (2) An abbreviation of the term cinta^-man!i 振多摩尼, a jewel that appears as any rare jewel that one thinks of. Priceless gem.
