(anutpanna, aja^ti). (1) unborn, not produced or arisen, Since the original quality of all things is emptiness, there actually is no such thing as arising, changing and ceasing. Therefore the term is equivalent to 'emptiness.' (2) The transcendence of the world of delusion. The absolute--principle separated from arising and cessation. (3) 'Arhat', or 'nirva^na.' The condition of cessation of all defilements. (4) Death.
