Chogye chong; the Chogye， the most important sect of the Korean Son tradition. Founded during the Koryo period， it attempted， under the primary influence of Chinul， to harmonize the Son （meditational） and Kyo （scholarly） approaches. Passing through various changes during subsequent centuries， the Chogye school survives in Korea today as the most prominent school， with numerous active monastic training centers around Korea.
