（1） Existent， existence; being （asita， astitva）. （2） Having self-nature. That which has an original nature. （3） Persons possessing the nature capable of buddhahood. The natures of /sra^vakas， pratyekabuddhas and bodhisattvas， as opposed to those who lack such a nature.
