Nakamura defines this term simply as "possessing defilement," but in its usage in the Ratnagotravibha^ga, it indicates a subtle remainder of habit energy, the removal of which is beyond the scope of the practices of the two vehicles, and thus can only be dealt with by bodhisattvas.
