Faxian（320?-420?） Famous Buddhist pilgrim and translator. Traveled to India from 399 to 414. On his return， he translated the six-fascicle version of the Maha^parinirva^na-su^tra 涅槃经 and some forty fascicles of vinaya materials. Also wrote a text called The "Record of Buddhist Kingdoms" and the 法句经.
