'Suchness.' One of the six unconditioned existences （dharmas） in Consciousness-only theory. True reality is the real nature of all existences， yet zhenru 真如 is called an 'unconditioned existence' due to the notion that even the awakened wisdom of the Buddha is in itself not really 'true reality'， since the wisdom of enlightenment is classified as a conditioned existence.
