Kuiji（632-682）. The most famous pupil of Xuanzang 玄奘. He wrote valuable notes to Xuanzang's Ch'eng wei-shih lun 成唯识论， and continued to transmit the Consciousness-only doctrine from Xuanzang. He lived most of his working life at Dacien temple 大慈恩寺， therefore he is commonly referred to as "Great teacher Cien" 慈恩大师.
