Also written 準陀， 淳陀. Cunda， a lay disciple of S/a^kyamuni who invited him to his home for what turned out to be the last meal of his life. The meat which was served for dinner was tainted， causing the Buddha to suffer from food poisoning and eventual death （Nirva^na-su^tra）.
