Twelve kinds of stages of bodhisattva practices described in the Yoga^ca^rabhu^mi-/sa^stra: （1） the stage of the bodhisattva nature菩萨种性住。（2） The stage of superb understanding and practice 胜解行住。 （3） The stage of ultimate bliss 极欢喜住。（4） The stage of unimpeded action of the precepts 增上戒住。 （5） The stage of unimpeded thought 增上心住。（6-8） The three stages of unimpeded wisdom 增上慧住: unimpeded wisdom concomitant with the stems of enlightenment 觉分相应增上慧住， unimpeded wisdom concomitant with all correct perceptions of reality 诸谛相应增上慧住， unimpeded wisdom concomitant with dependent origination， sam!sa^ra and the stopping of thought 缘起流转止息相应增上慧住。（9） the markless stage that has preparatory practices and efficacy 有加行有功用无相住。 （10） The markless stage that lack preparatory practices and efficacy 无加行无功无相住。 （11） the stage of unhindered understanding 无碍解住。 （12） The stage of ultimate consummation of bodhisattvahood 最上成满菩萨住。 This is followed by the stage of the Tatha^gata 如来住.［瑜伽论T 1579.30.552c25-553a10］
