Aja^ta/satru. A king of Magadha 摩揭陀 at the time of S/a^kyamuni. He was the son of King Bimbisa^ra， but through the designs of Devadatta， killed his father and imprisoned his mother. He later became a supporter of Buddhism， sponsoring the first council 第一结集.
